Hannibal police have released the name of the man who allegedly abused a dog over the weekend. The man was identified as 31-year-old Joseph M. Bentley of Hannibal. He was taken into custody after officers went to the 300 block of Willow at 3:41 p.m. Saturday when an 18-year-old woman brought the body of a deceased dog to animal control officers.
