Tower Pizza

Tower Pizza
Tower Pizza has two-fer Tuesdays on any pizza, so we decided to give it a try with two Jeff's Specials. Pizza is a tough business these days, there are so many newer pizza offerings that have just completely set a new standard. Five years ago I think I would have enjoyed this pizza a lot more, but today, I can think of a half dozen different places in Quincy doing better pizza. You've got your Pop's pizza, and Talayana's, and uncooked pizzas like Hy-Vee's Tuscano pizza, Papa Murphy's offerings, and even Sams Club and Walmart have pretty decent uncooked pizza these days.
As far as Tower Pizza, the dough is thick, even on the thin crust, and dry, the mushrooms were not very appetizing because they are canned in liquid, and the meats and excessive cheese made the top too greasy. The amount of pizza you get for 20 bucks on a Tuesday is pretty good, but at regular price, the pizza is a bit costly.
